Researches report that when we feel physically “unstable” or wobbly (standing on one leg), our primary monogamous relationship tends to be reported as less stable than if we were standing on two solid feet. This type of data backs up other “embodied cognition” that shows when we hold a warm cup of coffee we see strangers as more friendly than when we hold an iced cup.
